hologram (makehologram.com) turns your photos into an interactive scene you can send as a gift. These terms apply whenever you use the site. By using it, you agree to them. Our privacy policy explains what we collect and how we use it.

Your account

You need to be 13 or older to use hologram. Opening a gift never needs an account. Making one, sending a request, or posting needs you to sign in, with Google or with a code we email you. Keep your sign-in to yourself: you’re responsible for what’s made, sent and posted from your account.

Your photos and words

Your photos, names, notes and titles stay yours. You let us store, resize and show them only to run hologram for you: to build your gift, show it to the people who have its link, make a scene you asked us for, and show your posts to the people you choose.

Only upload photos you have the right to use, and that the people in them would be comfortable sharing this way. Don’t use hologram for anything illegal, or to post or send:

• sexual content of anyone under 18, or sexual content of anyone without their consent
• harassment, threats, or hate against people for who they are
• someone else’s photos or work without permission
• someone’s private information without their consent

We can remove a gift, post or request that breaks these rules, and close an account that does it again. If you see something that shouldn’t be here, email us.

Gifts and links

Every gift starts private. Anyone who has a gift’s link can open it, so share it only with people you want to see it. A gift stays until you delete it from your profile. If you share it to the community, you can make it private again at any time.

Templates

The templates, scenes and the rest of the site are made by us or by the creators who share them here, and stay theirs. Your gift is yours to send and share, but you can’t copy, resell or reuse the templates themselves outside hologram.

Gifts made by hand

Some templates are made by hand from the photos and notes you send, by our team or by the creator who shared the template. One is usually finished within a day or two, and we email you when it’s ready, but that’s an estimate, not a promise. You can cancel a request you haven’t paid for from your profile until we start on it.

Prices and payment

Each template has one price, which we show in US dollars before you pay. It’s the same whether you keep the gift private or share it with the community. Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.

Refunds

All payments are final, and we don’t offer refunds. That includes changing your mind after paying, and gifts that have been opened or not. A request you’ve paid for can’t be cancelled.

If a gift you paid for can’t be made, we’ll tell you and refund it in full. Nothing here limits any rights you have under the laws where you live that can’t be waived.

Changes and availability

We’re always improving hologram, so templates, features and prices can change, and we may retire a template. A gift you already made keeps working with the version it was made from. We try to keep the site running, but it’s provided as it is, without promises that it will always be available or free of errors.

Limits on our responsibility

As far as the law allows, we aren’t responsible for indirect losses, such as lost data or missed occasions, and our total responsibility for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before it.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we’ll update this page and its date. If a change matters for something you’ve already paid for or made, we’ll let you know on the site.
